RE2 Robotics Announces Hiring Push
PITTSBURGH, PA—Oct. 11, 2018—RE2 Robotics, a leading developer of human-like robotic arms, has announced increased hiring efforts for the last quarter of 2018 and into 2019. This hiring push is a direct result of the company’s expansion into new commercial markets, as well as new defense contracts.
RE2 expects to increase staff by 25 percent by the end of the first quarter of 2019. The company is currently seeking engineers in a variety of disciplines, including mechanical, electrical and software engineering. Additional open positions include a motion control engineer, a computer vision engineer and a principal research scientist.
“Forward-thinking corporations are looking to disrupt their industries through robotics. They are turning to RE2 Robotics for our robotics expertise. Therefore, we are expanding our talented team to include more engineers with artificial intelligence and autonomy experience,” says Jorgen Pedersen, president and CEO. “If you’re passionate about robots and about developing next-generation technology, and want to work with a company with major growth potential, we want to talk with you.”
RE2 Robotics is located in Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville neighborhood, which, along with the Strip District, is dubbed “Robotics Row” because of the vast number of robotics and AI companies operating in the area. RE2 has been stationed in Lawrenceville since it was founded in 2001.
“Pittsburgh is a great place to live and work. We have access to world-class hospitals and universities, affordable housing, great restaurants, greenspaces and cultural attractions,” says Pedersen. “Anyone who’s looking for big-city opportunities with a small-town feel should consider building a career in Pittsburgh.”
