RE2 Robotics is pleased to welcome Travis Schneider as its new Business Development Manager. In his role, Travis will drive commercial business development efforts and conduct market research, enabling RE2 to pursue emerging markets.

Travis comes to RE2 with a robust background in robotics, software and complex control algorithms. Prior to joining RE2, he worked for Parker Hannifin, where he most recently served as a business development manager for IoT Solutions.

“RE2 is a thriving company that continues to develop bleeding-edge robotics technology that serves a great purpose – saving lives or improving quality of life,” says Schneider. “This excites me, and gives me a deep sense of pride being a part of team that not only works to develop revolutionary technology, but is also delivering on the promise to make the world a better place through it.”

Travis says his goal is to forge trails into new markets for the company’s technology.

“It’s extremely encouraging to see the number and variety of people in different markets reaching out to RE2 with interest in our technology,” says Schneider. “It’s my intention to channel that interest and guide it into commercial success for RE2, so that we can continue to grow and expand our team.”

“Travis’ well-rounded engineering background, combined with his passion for robotics and keen business sense, makes him an excellent fit for this role,” says Jorgen Pedersen, president and CEO.

A native of Kiel, Wisconsin, Travis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He says he is drawn to Pittsburgh’s reputation as a burgeoning robotics hub.

“When I talk to people from outside the region about the robotics innovation taking place in Pittsburgh, they are almost unanimously taken back,” he says. “At the same time, I feel as though the region is just getting started. I think that you will continue to see more and more technology being developed and turned out for many years to come.”

Travis lives in the North Hills region of Pittsburgh with his wife, Sara.
