Robotics Engineering and Interoperability Standards Services
Specializing in Robotics System Design & Integration and Robotics Software Engineering, our contract engineering team will make your robots more capable, more interoperable, more intuitive, and more affordable – increasing the usefulness and marketability of your unmanned systems.
With a 10-year history of engineering entire robotic systems from the ground up for many leading Defense agencies and contractors, RE2 can take on the most arduous robotics-related challenges.
A prime example of the full breadth of the RE2 engineering team’s capabilities can be seen in our role as the prime system integrator for the DARPA Autonomous Robotic Manipulation (ARM) program. Serving as the primary designer and integrator of the Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), RE2 leveraged its highly seasoned team of software, electrical, and mechanical engineers to produce an innovative and intuitive dual-arm system for the research teams to use throughout the program. RE2 is also expanding the use of the DARPA ARM robot through the ARM Outreach prorgam which allows the general public to program a simulated ARM robot, program the actual robot, and interact with the robot at the Smithsonian Museum.
RE2 also has extensive Interoperability Standards expertise, including a deep knowledge of the Joint Architecture for Unmanned Systems (JAUS) and Standard NATO Agreement 4586 (STANAG). RE2 provides JAUS and STANAG development and integration services for unmanned systems manufacturers.
